What is a birth house?

I love home birth, I love autonomy and the agency that comes with out of hospital birth. I bought a beautiful, early 1900s home downtown Fowlerville to offer a home birth environment in an established center.

The birth house is designed to offer a safe space to those in every season of life. Support groups, an IBCLC practice, community closet, baby wearing library, midwifery practice, birth worker events and workshops keep this home vibrant and open to the entire community.

Our birth experience with Michigan Midwifery Co. was nothing short of magical - Sarah Lyons has a remarkable commitment to providing mamas & families with the best possible care and has an amazing way of being able to work with your specific needs and walk of life in a really uplifting and supportive way. They have a dynamite, extremely knowledgeable team and had so many little details planned for ahead of time that I never would've thought of. We felt so safe and totally supported having Michigan Midwifery as our birth team - It's so awesome to have this kind of a birthcare provider here in Livingston County and I wholeheartedly recommend them!
